Roderick Crabb
Agency Owner
Roderick grew up in Clearwater, FL and has worked at this location for more than five years. He has owned the agency for two years. He’s a former employee of the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast. Roderick is currently a board member for the Clay County YMCAs.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida and a master’s in sports management from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL.
“I am proud that we do important work that is a lifesaver for people in their worst moments,” he says.
Roderick enjoys watching his children take part in youth sports – and telling people the funny things they say! He also loves reading and watching professional sports. He attends live sporting events featuring the Jaguars, Jumbo Shrimp, The PLAYERS, and Florida/Georgia.
A self-proclaimed sports trivia nerd, he won an episode of
Sports Jeopardy, hosted by Dan Patrick, in 2016.
Krystal Shoemaker
Customer Service Manager
Krystal, who grew up in Pensacola, FL, has 15 years of experience in property and casualty insurance. She joined the agency 13 years ago. She moved to the Orange Park area with her husband in 2012.
Krystal enjoys helping customers with the claims process and easing their stress related to insurance.
Family is the center of Krystal’s world. She loves watching her kids excel in karate, soccer, basketball, and baseball. She spends her weekends cheering them on!
Her hobbies include crafting and making home décor.
Jessica Zarate
Account Executive
Jessica has five years of experience in the insurance industry – four of them with our agency. She holds a 2-15, 2-20, and 4-40 license. She enjoys making a positive impact on the lives of her clients.
“Everything I provide for them will affect them for the rest of their lives, which makes my role that much more important. I enjoy how close it brings me to the community and also creates a warm environment,” she says.
A native of Chicago, IL, Jessica spends her free time watching movies at home and trying out new places to eat. She enjoys food, travel, supercharged vehicles, and books.
She’s an active hair donor for Wigs for Kids. Jessica supports St. Baldricks, retirement homes, animal shelters, and the NICU
Kenndrick Brown
Account Executive
Kenndrick grew up in Lubbock, TX. After finishing his military contract, he moved to Jacksonville, FL from Virginia in 2018. After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida, he left an IT position at JEA to pursue a career in insurance at the beginning of 2022.
He enjoys helping people and providing a legitimate service and ensuring that they’re properly protecting themselves and their families.
Kenndrick loves to read comic books and fantasy novels and enjoys drawing, calligraphy, and painting. He collects art and records, too. In his spare time, he likes to be with his dog, visiting a bookstore, or looking for great places to dine.
Peggy VanBrunt
Account Executive
A native of Orange Park, FL, Peggy earned an associate degree from FSCJ with a concentration in social work. She entered the insurance industry in early 2021 when she joined our agency. She enjoys building client relationships and earning her clients’ trust.
Her interests include psychology, astrology, yoga, photography, fashion, and all things creative. On the weekends, she works on projects, listens to live music, and spending time outdoors with her daughter.
